Linghong Guo (Coach Anna) – Team Coach
Anna is the third child and the only daughter of the Guo’s gymnastics family. She began her interest in gymnastics at a mere age of 3. The fact that both her parents were coaches gave her the opportunity to follow them around during class time while slowly picking up skills by watching and playing around. Around 8 years of age, she began participating in low leveled competitions. She was then recruited into Ba Yi Sports Team the following year for her outstanding efforts. This was the beginning of her official training as a gymnast. At age 15, Anna represented China in the 1982 International Championships in Greece and received Gold medals in Vault, Bars, and Beams and earned herself the title of All-Around Champion. In 1983, she was selected to be a competitor in a Top 18 National Competition, where she placed in the top 3’s. For Anna, gymnastics is the foundation for her life and the definition of her existence. Pursuing her passion for gymnastics, she attended college to perfect her coaching skills. In America, she has coached at West Coast Elite Gymnastics for over 8 years. During her time there, she developed students to the National Level in both Level 9 and 10. Currently, Anna is serving as a Team Coach at her own family business, World Elite Gymnastics.
