U.S. Jump Start
National Team Camp
2009 World Championships trials
9 World Elite athletes just returned from the first World Team trial in Birmingham Alabama. Over 250 athletes from all around the U.S showed up to try for a spot on the U.S. World Team that will travel to St. Petersburg Russia.
Logan Dooley (2008 Olympian) was the top performer for the weekend. Logan placed first in synchronized trampoline teamed up with Steven Gluckstein, and 3rd in individual trampoline. Also in the mens Sr elite Division competing were Justice Frangipane, Neil Gulati, and Austin white. Justice place 2nd in synchronized teamed up with Derrick Aldrich, whhile Neil and Austin teamed up to get third. Justice Also made finals in the individual trampoline competition placing 5th. Austin white made finals in Double Mini trampoline placing 7th.
In the age group competition Alicia Powder Teamed up with Mackenzie Kulka to take 2nd in synchrnonized trampoline 15-16 age division. Maggie Gallagher and Brittney Bernard also placed 2nd in synchronized in the 13-14 age division, and Tanner Robinson and Chris Doerr placed 2nd in synchronized 11-12 age division boys. Chris also reached the final round in individual trampoline placing 2nd in 11-12 age division boys. Maggie Gallagher also made it to the the final round where she placed 4th in 11-12 age division girls.
5 members of the World Elite Gymnastics team particpated in the jump start national team camp held in Hunstville Alabama. The athletes spent the weekend training with national team coaches as well as some of the best young athletes in the united states. At the completion of the training camp a competition was held and a special congratulations to Hayley Duke for winning the tumbling competition and Olivia Teegarden for winning the Trampoline competition!
